My name is Francisco. I live in Rio de Janeiro. I have AIDS.

I traveled from Recife, through Natal, through Paraíba. I was kicked out of my house. I am like a nomad. I started traveling, traveling, traveling.

I have family here in Rio de Janeiro, but they have rejected me, because I am HIV-positive.

I have shown that I am a fighter against the disease. I take my medication. I am speaking here, from the place where I was attacked yesterday. I even have a broken arm, but that’s not going to stop me from fighting.

Prejudice against homosexuals is a terrible thing. I am fallen, psychologically, mentally. I have nothing else to say.

I am a fighter, maybe even a warrior. That’s it.
